Heiligenschein Closeup

When water drops on leaves remain nearly spherical the enhanced glow around the shadow of your head can be quite strong.

In the sequence below, clockwise from top left, the camera is moved through an angle of 90 degrees. In the first image the bright spots are seen through the water lenses. In the last image the bright spots can be seen on the leaves outside the water drops and the drops appear dark.
