Lower Falls spraybow across the gorge

Provided the sun is high enough then going down the stairway into the gorge is well worth the trouble. There is barely a trace of secondary here but the damp rock on the other side of the gorge shows that the wind sometimes carried it high enough.

Strong rainbow in Lower Falls spray

The drifting spray can produce some strongly coloured bows. The large amount of spray can be seen from the runoff on the rocks below.
