Here the moon is still low enough for the lower edge to be distorted by the atmosphere. |
With the top part of the moon hidden in the umbra and the atmospheric reddening it looked a strange sight looming over the hills. |

A little later and higher up the reddening has reduced. Although it was only a small partial the low altitude made it more interesting. |
Increasing the exposure by several stops allowed the shadowed edge of the moon to be seen. |
