Large Glory Polarisation

This set of images shows a large but faint glory in recently formed fog. I was above the fog layer so my shadow is quite small and there is no spectre effect to confuse things. Although the fog wasn't completely uniform the polarisation effects are still obvious.

The central spot was rather weak and not well defined with vertical polarisation. With horizontal polarisation the dark hollows, caused by the opposite polarisation inside the first ring, are quite distinct.
