Glory Polarisation - Outer

This set of images shows the view without filter, then with vertical and horizontal polarisation. The fog background was fairly even which allowed a subtle effect around the glory to show up. The ring itself is shown in more detail on the next page.

In the view without filter the background is fairly uniform but with a general brightening towards the top of the fog. Switch quickly between the images and you should be able to see the background changing.

With vertical polarisation there is a broad brighter cone extending upwards from the ring. With horizontal polarisation there is a brighter cone extending from the sides of the ring to the edges of the image. This shows that the polarisation extends well beyond the visible rings, but in the same sense as the ring.
