Curved Contrail and Shadow

What was striking about this contrail was how distinct the shadow was from such a short section. It must all cast some shadow but only the small part that lines up with the sun shows anything distinct.


A few minutes later and the contrail has drifted but again it is only the small section aligned with the sun that shows a clear shadow.
