Graphic Timetables provide a very compact way of showing rising and setting times over a period of time.
The timetables in GraphDark can be clicked to provide additional information in the form of
sky
displays or lists of coordinates.
Altitudes of objects can be colour coded for clarity and there are a variety of grids and markers that can be used.
The timetables can be useful for planning a series of observing sessions for deep sky objects or meteors so that moonlight can be avoided, working out when a comet will be visible from your location at a reasonable altitude, when a variable star will be visible, or when a series of objects is available for observation.
In all the examples below the time of day or night increases upwards while the day of year increases to the right.
Calendar date is shown along the bottom while Julian day number is shown at the top.
