Murky Lunar Halo - Timelapse


On this occasion there was some thin lower cloud as well as the cirrus and this reflected skyglow from villages just a few miles away, giving a muddy colour to the sky.

Because of the poor sky only a few stars are visible in this still from the sequence. Castor and Pollux are just above the Moon while Capella is the bright star outside the halo on the right.
