After several months without seeing any significant sundogs this bright one appeared briefly for about 10 minutes. |
Part of the 22 degree halo can be seen extending above and below the left side of the sundog while the white tail shows up nicely in this patch of cirrus. |

A pleasant summer afternoon with clouds at all levels provided an interesting cloudscape. |
Despite being half covered by lower cloud the sundog was very obvious. |
