Delicate Iridescent Cloud at Sunset

Iridescent cloud isn't always colourful or close to the sun. The delicately tinted clouds at the top were some 15 degrees above the setting sun.

Their shape hints that they might be freshly formed and suitable for interference effects. Closer examination shows the pastel greens and magenta typical of weak iridescence far from the sun.

Within their broad lenticular shape the clouds showed a wave pattern with another smaller wave pattern superimposed at a different angle.
