Even a low sun can be dangerously bright ! Always use proper filters and protect your eyes.
I tried for several weeks to get a clear hazy evening and eventually got the view I wanted.
The sun was distorted by refreaction and by irregular changes in the atmosphere as it dropped that last degree toward the horizon.
