Deep Red Sunset

Although it was a fairly hazy evening it was still surprising how much it dimmed the sun. It was only the presence of the heavily reddened sun that showed there were gaps in the distant cloud.

The haze layer must have been quite deep and homogenous as there was little sign of greater dimming on the lower edge of the sun.

More cloud silhouetted against the sun before it disappeared.
