Winter Afternoon Haloes

From this latitude you can't see a full 22 degree halo in the middle of winter because the sun never gets much above 15 degrees.

In this mid afternoon example only two thirds of the halo is visible.

This late afternoon halo was more colourful than usual but unfortunately the sundog positions were obscured.

A curious neighbour came to investigate. (pun intended)
