Low Sun 22 degree Halo


There were hints of halo for about half an hour then for a few minutes this halo strengthened and showed obvious colour.	Fifteen minutes later it had faded as different cloud moved through. Although not obvious from this the image the colours were still quite distinct and purer than usual.

Although the halo was quite obvious the mottled nature of this cirrus meant that it was never very well defined.	A few hours later and the halo is very patchy, a weak sundog and part of an upper tangent arc helped to make it a bit more visible.
