Noctilucent Cloud Time Lapse - 29th June 2011


This was the furthest south that I've seen noctilucent cloud and the sequence below is unusual in showing the cloud moving southwards rather than the usual east to west. Before it was finally overwhelmed by twilight I could see noctilucent cloud to my south, usually it is low on the northern horizon.

A full 360 degree panorama just before the last cloud was overwhelmed by twilight, NLCs are usually only seen in the area covered by the brightest patch in this image.
